The new generation of 8-16 tonne trucks from Yale offers an evolution in both operator efficiency and truck performance to deliver maximum productivity.

VX8-16Rising costs of fuel and the demands of customers for increased efficiency led to the launch of the heavy duty, diesel engine forklift truck series in the latter half of 2011. Designed to use less fuel and be more productive than the previous series, the GDP80-120DC and GDP130-160EC benefit from the advances originally introduced in the design of the company's Veracitor® VX series, specifically in the areas of powertrain and hydraulic configurations, all designed to meet customers' requirements.

With longer servicing intervals, increased uptime and reduced servicing costs, the new DC and EC series of 8-16T trucks offer lower lifetime cost of ownership and greater productivity.

Base and Value specification options

Available in two configurations both versions use a high performance 116kW (155Hp) @2300rpm diesel engine combining durability over longer periods of peak power operation with excellent acceleration and hauling power.

Fuel savings of up to five per cent are achieved through the use of the company's Load Sensing Hydraulics system, which uses variable displacement hydraulic pumps to sense demand and deliver the exact amount of hydraulic oil required to meet the demands of the application.

The Value configuration employs an advanced electronically controlled transmission that provides additional cooling capacity for use in intensive applications resulting in lower overall cost of ownership and up to an additional five per cent fuel saving over the base model.

Further fuel saving options, including travel speed limiter, empty seat shutdown feature with variable time delay, and low rolling resistance and highly durable radial tyres, can be specified on both models.

Dual variable displacement hydraulic pumps on the Value model allow up to 20 per cent higher lifting speeds for intense productivity.

Lower lifetime costs

VX8-16 1The Load Sensing Hydraulic system, which includes advanced filters to protect major components from potentially harmful contaminants, contributes to enhanced reliability and extends the life expectancy of parts.  As a result service intervals have been increased to 2,000 hours contributing to reduced service costs.

An optional oil temperature warning system can further improve the life expectancy of vital components by precise monitoring of the lower operating oil temperatures.

Operator comfort as standard

Standard across the Yale® range of warehouse and materials handling equipment is operator comfort. The GDP80-120DC and GDP130-160EC are no exception with five optional cab configurations that feature increased visibility, optional heated top window and a variety of air conditioning and climatic control options.

A premium deluxe seat with the additional option of heating is also available.
