GREENVILLE, N.C. (March 6, 2025) – Yale Lift Truck Technologies announces that Major Accounts Manager Paul Burke has been named a Rock Star of the Supply Chain by Food Logistics magazine. Burke was honored as a top warehousing leader, which recognizes the achievements and contributions of supply chain professionals in the cold storage and warehousing space.
“Paul has all the qualities you want from a major account manager in this space, with deep experience specific to the industry that shows in his relationships and knowledge of the challenges facing food operations,” says Brendan McCann, Director of Major Accounts – Food Processing and Distribution. “But his approach and ‘soft’ qualities are what really set him apart. He treats every day as a new challenge and his legitimate passion for the organization is something that customers can sense – they know it’s more than just facts and figures or dollars and cents. There’s real purpose and emotion behind Paul’s approach to his job, and it’s why he’s so successful at what he does.”
Burke works as a critical conduit between the factory, dealers and customers, and his focus on relationship-building is critical to fostering collaboration and making sure customer needs are properly advocated for and understood. This includes meeting customers in person and seeing their operations firsthand, which is particularly valuable in food, as unlike retail warehouses that are commonly built to spec, almost every cold storage facility is different.
This deliberate and detail-oriented approach enables Burke to find opportunities for efficiency and operational improvements that may be out of sight to others. For one company, he studied their telemetry reporting and discerned that the fleet was running through batteries faster than they should be due to improper charging, care and maintenance, and that neither of the company’s providers were taking steps to correct the problem. Burke laid out a plan to solve the problem by bringing the equipment and power solutions together as part of a single, comprehensive solution.
Prior to his current role at Yale, Burke held a variety of material handling sales positions, including stops at the dealer level and a previous stint in-house at Yale in the early 2000s. He regularly attends industry trade shows and events, and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida.
