The Yale® nested delivery solution is a three-part system consisting of a walkie pallet truck, a detachable, motorized handcart or “sled” and matching pallets. It is engineered to improve direct-store delivery efficiency and ergonomics, cutting out excess product touches and material handling equipment for delivery personnel to manage.

The detachable duo gets delivery drivers inside in fewer steps, with less equipment.

Typically, drivers have needed two pieces of equipment to move loads from their delivery trucks into convenience stores, retail locations or other delivery destinations:

  • A pallet truck for unloading pallets from the trailer
  • A small sled or non-motorized handcart to take product into the store

This traditional delivery workflow involves excess effort, tasks and time:

  • Lugging two pieces of equipment between the trailer and entrance
  • Restacking product from pallet truck to handcart before going inside

The nested delivery solution eliminates inefficient steps.

  • Just detach the sled and go into the store. No transferring product between pallet truck and handcart or shuttling extra equipment around.
  •  Store more in the trailer. The two-in-one configuration saves space in delivery trucks for more product.
  • Stay charged on the go. Compatibility with 110-volt outlet s enables charging on delivery routes, and the pallet truck and sled can share the charge.

The Yale® MDS12NLG electric motorized sled is designed to be lightweight, low-profile and highly maneuverable. It satisfies store restrictions against heavy equipment that can damage floors and allow drivers to easily navigate the final portion of delivery around pedestrians, through narrow store aisles and into other tight spaces like coolers and storerooms.
