Forklift safety lights, alarms and other awareness aids

Make the invisible, visible.

From mirrors to cameras, choose from a variety of features to empower your lift truck operators to move more confidently, safely and efficiently in day-to-day operations.

Help forklift operators see and be seen

Our awareness aids are designed to reduce blind spots, mitigate the challenges of dim lighting or noisy environments, and inspire operator confidence in every move. They help create a more predictable environment that supports safety for everyone on the warehouse floor. Simple, effective and always on, these foundational operator assist solutions provide continuous support, helping operators spot hazards, move smarter and place loads precisely.

Awareness, elevated

Discover how lights, alarms and mirrors create a cohesive framework for situational awareness around forklifts. These complementary solutions reduce uncertainty and light the way for greater vigilance and safer workflows in your warehouse.

Lights

Low-light conditions or tricky warehouse layouts can produce hazards for workers on the floor. The appropriate forklift lighting options can help maximize visibility and reduce the chances of collisions with other mobile equipment, racking and other warehouse or tractor-trailer infrastructure, objects and pedestrians.

Strobe lights

Provides bright flashes to help alert pedestrians of the lift truck’s presence. Strobe lights for warehouse safety can be a good alternative to audible alarms in noisy areas.

Brake or tail lights

Makes the forklift visible from the rear, signaling its presence and indicating braking to pedestrians and other trucks, especially in congested or dimly lit environments.

Curtain lights

Projects a red beam of light onto the floor that surrounds the forklift. These red zone lights for pedestrian awareness remind personnel to stay outside of the curtain area.

Spot lights

Casts a blue light out in front or behind a lift truck, indicating the truck’s direction of travel to other operators and pedestrians. Especially useful around corners and in congested spaces with poor visibility.

Mast lights

Illuminates the mast, forks and load, improving visibility and enabling precise placement, especially when picking or retrieving loads at height, in narrow aisles or other tight, dark spaces like tractor-trailers.

Work lights

Provides supplemental lighting for poorly-lit areas or outdoor nighttime operation. Can also include rear work lights that are reverse travel activated, as well as dome or reading lights for inside the operator compartment.

Alarms

Many facility layouts have busy chokepoints where moving lift trucks and foot traffic intersect. Audible alarms can help enhance truck proximity awareness by notifying pedestrians or surrounding mobile equipment operators that they are close to a truck in motion.

Forward Alarms

Emits a beeping sound to warn pedestrians of a forklift’s presence when it is moving forward. Automatically adjusts to 5 decibels louder than the surrounding ambient noise.

Reverse Alarms

Emits a beeping sound to warn pedestrians of a forklift’s presence when it is moving in reverse. Automatically adjusts to 5 decibels louder than the surrounding ambient noise.

Mirrors

Mirrors mounted at various points around a forklift’s cabin are not a replacement for operators always looking in the direction of travel, but they can help increase operator visibility and provide clearer lines of sight along the sides of the truck and tail swing area. Flat and convex mirror options are available in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit different equipment and applications.

Dual Mirrors

Placed on either side of the overhead guard, two mirrors help increase spatial awareness around the sides of the truck prior to changing direction.

Panoramic Mirrors

A wide mirror in the center of the overhead guard that provides visibility to the tail swing area in a forward-travel turn, as a supplement to the operator turning and checking for pedestrians, racking or other obstructions.

See the unseen

Reverse camera

While not a substitute for the operator turning and looking in the direction of travel, camera systems mounted on the rear of a lift truck can be an additional visual reference to enhance visibility when driving in reverse. This can be helpful during tricky maneuvers in narrow aisles or when the operator must be sure the tail swing area is clear before changing directions.

Thread the needle

Laser fork positioner

The laser fork positioner is a passive awareness aid that helps operators precisely position the forks using laser guidance. It helps with picking and put away operations in high-bay warehouses with very tall racking.

Stay within rated capacity

Load weight display

Load weight displays show the weight of the load being carried by a forklift. This provides real-time insights to the operator about the load, helping to guide safe handling and prevent overloading, tipping or equipment damage.
