In October 2024, we welcomed hundreds of independent Yale® dealers and customers to Weeze, Germany, for Impact Live 2024. The event showcased some of the exciting solutions from Yale Lift Truck Technologies that are supported by our entrepreneurial EMEA Yale dealer network. It aimed to help guide customers towards the right materials handling equipment and technologies for outsmarting today’s intralogistics challenges.
Take a look at some of the highlights in our Impact Live round-up video.
Yale technologies in action
At Impact Live, specially constructed ‘application zones’ were used to demonstrate Yale technologies in simulated “real-life” environments. Such as those typical to the retail, beverage, and food industries. It showed how innovative Yale solutions combined with the expertise of our local dealers can directly address the unique challenges our customers face.
The application zones included:
Retail and eCommerce
There was a focus on order picking in the Retail and eCommerce Zone, as Yale experts demonstrated the Yale MP20-30X Platform low lift pallet truck and the motorised Yale MP16 pedestrian low lift pallet truck. The Yale MO10L Low Level Order Picker was also seen in action.
Visitors also saw a tow tractor equipped with the Yale Reliant OAS (Operator Assist System), showing its object detection and proximity detection functions.
Beverage handling
A 5.5t Yale ICE truck with a raised operator cab was showcased in the Beverage Application Zone. It also featured a pedestrian detection camera and an impact camera. The pedestrian detection camera can detect and alert the driver about pedestrians within 3m, 5m, 6m or even 7m.
The impact camera works in a very similar way to a car dashcam. It is constantly recording but will save the video to the SD card when an impact is detected. The impact camera works in tandem with the telemetry system, Yale Vision.
A double pallet handler attachment was also in action, showing visitors how to enhance productivity in busy beverage operations by increasing the number of loads that can be handled.
Food manufacturing and processing
In the Food Application Zone, a Yale ERP22-35VL electric counterbalance truck and Yale MO50T tow tractor showed the benefits of Yale Reliant. Yale specialists simulated a food manufacturing /processing operation in which both trucks might be used in close proximity with one another. Visitors saw how Yale Reliant can be used to help avoid collisions in certain application conditions.
Warehouse equipment and power solutions
Attendees got a close-up view of many other warehouse equipment models at the event, including the MO20-20X order picker pallet truck, MP20-30X platform pallet truck, MRO16-20 outdoor reach truck, and the MSC12 compact pedestrian stacker.
They also had chance to learn more about batteries and chargers from energy storage specialist , who sponsored the three-day event and showcased a range of solutions on their exhibition stand throughout.
